Hi, I’m Kaya, and I work with people in their twenties to forties, what I like to call the in-between years. That stretch of life where you’re not quite where you thought you’d be, and not really sure what’s next. Things feel messy, a bit confusing, and quietly overwhelming. Maybe you’re stuck in a relationship that feels off, noticing old patterns creeping in, or hearing that critical voice in your head that sounds a lot like your parent. Perhaps you’re feeling anxious, low, or just not yourself, maybe even triggered by something as small as being left out of a group chat.
Big changes like becoming a parent or figuring out your path can stir up more than you expected. Therapy with me is steady and honest. No quick fixes or jargon, just real space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface. I pay attention to the little things, because that’s often where the real story lives. You don’t need to have it all figured out, just come as you are.
It’s not always easy to ask for help, especially when you’ve spent so long appearing to cope. If you’re feeling disconnected from yourself, unsure of where you’re heading, or simply need a space to breathe, you’re not alone. I offer a warm, compassionate space to make sense of things, at your own pace.
If any of this sounds familiar, have a look around, get a feel for how I work, and when you’re ready, book a free call. I’d love to hear from you
Here are some of the things I hear most often from clients like you: Real Talk Real Feelings
If any of these thoughts sound familiar ? you’re far from alone. The ‘inbetween years’ can feel like the ‘quarter life crisis.’
Your 20s and 30s are a time of transitions, uncertainty, and unexpected detours. Relationships, evolving family dynamics, and the endless scroll of “perfect” lives often leave you questioning your pace.
I don’t focus on diagnoses; I create a supportive space to validate your unique experience and feelings.
Therapy helps uncover what’s beneath the overwhelm and gently guides you back to yourself.
Begin your journey today. Let’s navigate modern challenges together.
I feel like I have nothing to be proud of
No matter what I do, I never feel good
enough
My family’s expectations still weigh heavily on
me
Everyone else seemed to succeed, I just felt like a failure
I’ve never really had the time or space to figure out what I want
It’s like I’m just going through the motions, I don’t feel present
I don’t have peace.
My mind is constantly busy
Academic success was everything, but now I feel lost
My mood swings in a day, up, down, flat. I never know how I’ll feel
I’ve always felt different and a bit ashamed
of it
I had to figure out my sexuality alone. I’ve never felt truly connected.
Everything feels like too much. I’m overwhelmed just trying to keep up
There are countless stressors at this stage that can fuel anxiety and depression—and none of it is your fault. Whether you’re choosing a career path, grappling with financial pressures, navigating evolving relationships or family expectations, or feeling crushed by endless social media comparisons, these challenges add up. Unresolved past traumas and identity crises can further intensify the pressure, leaving you feeling outpaced and overwhelmed. Common stressors that can lead to crisis include:
The goal of therapy is to help you live more fully and freely. To do that, I take the time to really understand your history and who you are, because those earlier experiences often shape how things are showing up for you now. It’s about exploring and giving voice to your unique thoughts and feelings so you feel seen and heard. Together, we’ll gently notice patterns, explore what’s working and what’s not, and look at how things could be different. I’ll support you to make meaningful changes that feel true to you without judgement, just a space where your thoughts, feelings and experiences are heard. And you’ll always be in control; this is your life, your choices. We work side by side, building a path that reflects your needs and your hopes for the future. Real life. Real feelings. Real healing.
Your twenties and early thirties are often sold as the best years of your life, full of freedom, fun, and potential. But if you’re feeling lost, anxious, or constantly questioning your choices, you’re not alone.
This phase, what I call the “in-between years”, is full of huge transitions. Maybe you’re navigating your first real job, a messy breakup, a career pivot, or the creeping pressure to “have it all figured out.” You might feel like everyone else is moving forward while you’re quietly spiralling.
These feelings can be part of what’s known as a quarter-life crisis, a completely valid, but often overlooked, experience. It’s a time when you start to wonder: Who am I, really? What do I actually want? Why does everything feel so overwhelming?
Therapy can help you find clarity and confidence during this time. It’s not about quick fixes, it’s about feeling truly heard, perhaps for the first time. We’ll work through the patterns and pressures that are holding you back and support you in building a life that feels more like your own.
